Camera Techniques

Crane up, Look down
Here I have taken a picture of a boy playing cards from a overhead angle. The camera is looking down from a dramatic angle, which in this case allows the audience to see the actors cards. We can also see that a light is being shone onto the subject, as there are shadows.
To create this shot, the camera has to be raised about the subject, tilted down slightly.
I am quite pleased with the shot, however the only downside was that the photo came out a little dark.

Back to Front
Here is a picture of an person's head. In the background is a scene of a beach.
'Back to front' emphasizes depth. It also compares two separate but related scenes without moving the camera.
This shot has been taken as a close-up shot.
However I don't think this photo was able to achieve the 'back to front' camera shot because there is not much action in the background.
