Evaluation of Film Poster

We chose to create a film poster on a children's super hero movie. In our poster we have an image of a little child flying through clouds. This is what makes our poster look realistic. He also is in a superman costume, so that the viewer is easily able to tell what the film relates to. The name of the film is called 'Superjunior'. We also added a logo from 'Warner Bros'.

To create the film poster we used a software called Adobe Photoshop. This enabled us to transform the original photo of the boy into a whole new image, using a variety of tools. Using the 'magic wand' we were able to delete the background. Other tools used were 'lens flare','clone stamp tool','radial blur','motion blur','colour range' and the 'pen tool'.

I am quite pleased with our work as I feel it looks like a real film poster. It is simple for the viewer to understand, and focus solely on the character. If we got another chance to recreate our poster, I would add some credits. We also could have created another image in the background, but due to our little experience in photoshop we were not able to do this. Our original image was also quite small, so when we came to cutting the boy out, the edges were quite rough. We were unsure on how to smoothen them out, and so we had to leave the image with rough edges.
